Digital Block Management: A Guide for First-Time Block Managers

29 June 2026 · 7 min read

You have just become a block manager — maybe a director of the RMC, maybe the person everyone already messages when something breaks. The building has no system. Communication is a WhatsApp group. Start with three things

  1. 1One platform for official announcements — stop posting block news in WhatsApp.
  2. 2One document library — upload insurance, accounts and minutes today.
  3. 3One way to run votes — recorded, with a deadline and a tally.

  • Trying to ban WhatsApp instead of splitting chat from official business.
  • Not uploading existing documents — residents need something to find on day one.

Your first week
